A History of Europe Since 1945 (pico) (Taschenbuch) I was looking for a book that would provide me an overview of European history since the second world war. I bought this one on recommendation from some friends. When I opened the packet, I found the size somewhat daunting. But when I started reading it, I found that the book was much more than I could have asked for. A plain and simple narrative, very fair and balanced in its judgment, masterly way of compressing lots of details.
